Isanham, you can do it! Congrats on the bronze spade. It is indeed hard to stay app free, especially when seeing so many success stories others are having. Congrats on your progress so far!
Called up Wal-Mart today, expected to have the automated CLI denied, with plans to call underwriting directly afterwards. Surprisingly, I got CLI'd from $700-900 by the automated system. Its not much, but its a step in the right direction, so I'm content for now. Will try again in 2-3 months, then call up underwriting then.
got a scorewatch update. up 2 points for one less card reporting a balance.
now just 2 cards reporting a balance out of 9. aiming to have just my mastercard report a small balance at the begining of the year.
i think ill take a swig at my beer from all this gardening ive been doing.
sadly though right around christmas might have to get a new washer (old one is leaking) but whats the fun in just getting a washer when the dryers are screaming buy me. 0% finance for 18 months plus an extra 5% off the already low prices =)

I've been officially gardening since Febuary. I have around 7 Inquiries on EX--Im from CA so this is all they pull out here pretty much. Besides my card in Feb, all my apps reached 1 yr old around June. Hoping to stay Garden-Strong until all these fall off next year. The one thing nice about gardening is watching my scores rise as everything ages, slow and steady like a true garden.
So I sat down at my PC this morning....updated my CC Excel file, then paid "this weeks" credit card bills.
I'm still in the garden...no apps, not really feeling the itch, but a bit frustrated with what feels like slow progress...
Hmph.
Month number 3. Silver Spade is now mine.
Only 21 months until my next big adventure begins (mortgage time)....

Nice!
That's about the timeframe I'm looking at to go for a morgage, as well.
Happy Gardening!
