Good morning boys and girls.

Evil Credit Union called yesterday asking what ELSE they can do for me.
of course, this makes the mind wander...

My last app is around that time too. And I agree with your method. I can't count the whole month of July as 'app free' if I apped on July 23. I need to get through most of October for my next spade. This way, by the time I have a platinum, if I get there, there will be absolutely no inqs having effect on my score. It wouldn't be the same if I claimed a platinum and then still had to wait 23 days for my inqs to fall off.
helps me keep my goals in sight. want some age on these prime seedlings...then I'm going to close 3 of the 6 cards I hold (2 revolvers, 1 store) once I get enough CLI $$ to balance out the utilization. Which for me isn't that high anyway, since I'm anal and pretty much PIF EVERYTHING I can...
USAA fako is going up by leaps and bounds. Just went up 30 points overnight, when one of my credit cards reported a smaller balance. Hoping to see a FAKO of around 690 once all my card balances report 0.
Newbie in the Garden
10/9/2012 is my start date, after successfully applying for Discover and Barclays Apple Fiance Card. I have no needs for any other cards, hope to apply for a Car Loan sometime next year and possible a Mortgage..
Currently tending in the garden:
Sprouts: (6-12 months)
Capital One Platinum Card
Georgia's Own Credit Union Secured Loan
Seedlings: (<6 months)
Discover More
Barclays Apple Finance
Future goals:
Car Loan (Sometime in 2013)
Mortgage (Somtime in 2013)
Had to remove my spade, but for what I consider a good reason. Had been wanting to close two Orchard Bank cards which only had a limit of $600 each. I wanted to app for a Chase Freedom and last night I did just that. Was approved with a limit of $3000. In addition, I also received a CLI on my Dillards card to $3000. I'm very excited by these turn of events and I know that I wouldn't have the knowledge or the confidence if it were not for these forums. I repeat everything I learn to anyone who would listen (mostly just my sister) and she says, "what are you now, some kind of credit guru?" No, not yet but I plan to keep learning everything I can to stay financially healthy. Thanks to everyone who share their stories and offer advice. Day one in the garden....
congrats qtcbcute! thats a great starting limit.
so small update my kohls card updated today!. 207/400 to 0/400. i now have only 1 card reporting a 425/2500 balance.(total 425/12500) and my ck jumped 6 points and wait for it.
my sw jumped from 682 to 697! im so exited.

Checked my Discover account to make sure my payment posted and noticed that they gave me an auto CLI, from $2,000 to $2,750. Needless to say I was quite pleased. Online chat option came up and I decided to press my luck and ask for more. The rep denied me and said I can ask again in 6 months. Couldn't hurt to try.
Still sipping on my beverage...in the gahden!
Ah, a month post Zync, and I've suddenly been Spade, er Bronzed, er y'all know what I mean!
Figures it'd be today that was one of the most utterly bizarre days of my near two decade long adult life. Oi vey. Still chillin without apps, mortgage just got a bit harder but such is life.
