Re: Garden Club Meeting - October 2012

Well I have officially earned my gold spade! Woo Hoo! Trying to keep everything clear until next year. I may do a re-fi on the house but not sure. Whatever the case might be gardening has done wonders for my credit profile and I am thrilled! Happy gardening everyone!

Re: Garden Club Meeting - October 2012

About to water the garden more and seek a CLI with Amex in 2 weeks. Other than that I don't forsee anything being able to lure me out of the garden until June next year when around 5 inquiries drop off my reports. It will be nice to see only 2 inquiries on my reports. Smiley Tongue

Re: Garden Club Meeting - October 2012

Thank you creditnocash! I have come a ways in a year. This was my line-up last year around this time: Citi - $5000 balance C/L: $9600 limit Chase Freedom - 0 balance C/L:$3000 Target Visa- 0 balance C/L: $1500.00 Care Credit - 0 balance C/L:$5400 First Premier - 0 balance C/L: $1100 HHB MC- 0 balance C/L: $800 HHB Premier Visa - 0 balance C/L:$400 Applied Bank - 0 balance C/L: $2200.00 Scores around that time FICO: 732 (EQ), 735 (TU) (EX unknown) As you can see I had some of the worst cards for annual fees known to man. Then I found this club. I listened and learned. I closed the low limit cards, gained an Amex BCP in 12/2011, Barclays 03/2012, and Walmart Discover 04/2012. My current scores are in my siggy. Tinu really helps so many with this club. I haven't quite reached my goal but I have gotten to a comfortable spot. I still have an old 30 day late that I can't get removed. But even with a derog, I have still managed to keep moving up. I really have to give thanks to everyone here and a special thanks to Tinu for creating this post.

Re: Garden Club Meeting - October 2012

Today was 6 months from my previous CLI on 2 cards so I went online and requested another round.  I can confirm that AMEX Canada policy is that the CLI can be up to 50% every 6 months.  Between the 2 cards, I received an additional $8k of CL so I am at $79k total now on 5 cards.  2 Cards are reporting balances, <8% total utilization and dropping each month.  I am looking to be debt free on or about April Fool's Day.  Smiley Very Happy  I just sitting back and chillin' until next summer/fall.

Pass me another beer and strudel...  I'll be silver spade in a few days.

Starting Score: EQ 732 October 2007; Current Score: EQ 839; TU 865, July 2022;
Oldest Reporting EQ Account: 20.4 years; EQ AAoA: 9.9 years;
ACTUAL Oldest account 40.1 years; ACTUAL AAoA 19.3 years.
