Garden Club Meeting - September 2014

Hello everyone. I hope you're all doing well. As for me, I didn't even have to stick my big toe out of the garden to get rewarded by Synchrony (Amazon store card) with an $800 auto CLI. Woot! This gardening thing is working out.

Hi Club, 

Twice today I have filled out the SM app, but haven't hit submit. I'm not sure if I'm here right now to ask for an ERT alert to help me resist temptation, or if I want a day pass? Hmm..

I wouldn't be surprised if we see this more often as cards move away from being embossed.   Since the credit card receipts of the carbon copy variety are rather rare there's not much point in them anymore.   When the computers are down, people phone in for approval instead of using the old-fashioned manual imprinters, so there's not really a need for embossing.   I think embossing looks better, but it's not a good reason to keep doing it.

Only two of my CCs are not embossed:  VS and QS1.   Other cards are moving away from embossing, as well.  My new AAA membership card is now printed instead of embossed (i'm guessing it's more cost effective).

Hey Irisa! Ah yes, the SM app. Didn't you say a few months ago that the categories would be overlapping with some cards you already have? Am I remembering this right?
