Last order of business (auto loan w/1 HP) completed today!
I am gardening till Jan 2019 no matter what! I have everything I need including a CL for major home repairs 😀.
EQ 690, TU 720, EX 709
Time for me to plant my seed 😀
What car did you end up with the jag or the BMW or something different?
BMW with BMWFS. I haven't even decided which one yet...was approved at 1.49 or 1.99 (depending on length of loan I select).
Sadly what it came down too was, BMW provided me with better customer service. Jaguar never came out to greet me when I was on the lot, I always had to go in the show room and find a salesperson. BMW was more attentive and actively wanted my business. Even this morning, I called to see how long my approval would be valid for IF I applied today, they just took their time to answer every question without making me feel rushed. This is after, he tracked down 5 diesels yesterday for me to consider.
Whats funny, Jag was actually my first choice.
Oh well, you snooze, you lose.....no more HP for me 😀
I believe we both live in Nashville if I recall right some of the dealerships are awful down here.. Typically when I buy a car I dress VERY casual as you can't or shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I purposely dress kinda to be honest dingy when car shopping to see how people treat me and if they walk up to me...Last tiem I went car shoppnig I wen tto look at Audi R8's granted not a brand new one, but went to dealership that had a used one or two.. Sales people didn't look at me twice nor came out to take me serious or say hello.. Regardless I drove down to the lexus dealership and they said hello to me etc and ended up driving away in a new lexus. Some sales people are honestly so dumb as they don't think one might have money based on various things. Their loss.. I hate the sonic dealerships out here with a passion as well and they own quite a few. I am considering another mercedes as have had one in the past, but refuse to buy one at the only dealership in Nashville so will be driiving across state lines to Kentucky to deal with that dealership as different owners etc and see how they treat me if I decide to go with a benz for my next car within the year.
When I was a young buck I owned a Corvette. I also owned a crappy Ford Escort that I drove when the weather was bad. I would do this thing where I'd drive on to a car lot on the same day with each of the cars. The reaction from the sales people was night and day. Escort I basically got ignored. Corvette they were tripping over each other.

I had this experience with the Audi dealership for the brief period of time I lived in Michigan. In fact, a salesperson looked at me and turned around and walked away. I realized then I would have to go to another city to get the Q5 I was thinking about getting. Turns out, I went across town to test drive an X3 (to make sure I really wanted the Q5) and was treated with so much respect and kindness. Not only that, I really just enjoyed driving the X3 more - so I decided to keep my business local and went with the BMW, a decision that I've never once regretted.
My lease runs out on that X3 in 8 days, and now I'm purchasing that car.
Enjoy whichever vehicle you pick out.

Starting my 4th month in garden
Same! Before we know it we'll both be at 5 years in the garden!
Happy October everyone! It's the last month of my "summer" schedule - aka working relatively "normal" hours and being able to skip my lunch break to go home an hour early Winter means more hours (which starting during the new year I'll actually get paid OT due to the new law), usually in the form of shift time changes, elongated hours, and/or coming in on weekends. Ick. Just part of the job, though.
Can't wait to get my bronze again tomorrow!
Happy October to everyone! Still in the garden for over 3 months and no itchy fingers. BCP is due for 180 day increase in 3 days. Not sure what my plan is with that.
Doing final prep for baby #2 in 7 weeks. Halloween decorations come down on Nov 1st and all the Christmas trees go up!
That is all for now!
Man, y'all quit talking new cars in here - you are getting me emotional. I've told my wife two of the best days in my life were when I bought a new STI back in 2005 (which I had to sell in 2009 after having a baby and needing to reprioritize things - but I made her promise she would let me get another one one day) and then 2 years ago when I bought a new 2015 STI. I'm not one of those that has to switch out cars often - probably because I hate car payments - but I do love looking at new cars - and there is no feeling that replaces those 4 hours you spend picking out your car, signing the paperwork, and driving it home - it's just intoxicating.
The time has come to finally say. I reached my goal in my rebuild after BK. All thats left is to wait for the new QS WEMC to turn 6 months old. Combine the Plat/QS to it. Discover will grow in time. And the Big 3 is all I need from here on out. Retirement from the FD is coming up and time to travel after 31 yrs. As always. Thanks to all the credit brainiacs on here who helped me get where I'm at. THANKS! Seed is planted............
