Got approved yesterday for 600 cll---wanting some help with the following questions:
1)should I recon today and if so which number do I call since their are a lot of bd#'s--use underwriters or new accounts?
2) wait for card to come and call # on back or bd #?
3)wait 2 months and then call?
Heard so many success stories --trying to build up utilization--thanks again for all your great input!!!!!!!

GECRB is renowned for great cli's.... pretty much standard talk around here is to hit the luv button after each 4 statements for best success

Can call now actually; I did with a $700 approval and since I wanted to make an 800 and change purchase, asked if they could help me. They bumped it to 900 with almost no fuss, though the Walmart checkout did complain about the payment type on the Walmart card, am guessing the systems weren't updated quite as quickly as the CSR suggested.
In any event it landed on my reports the other day with a $900 limit; however, I think beyond that I'll just stick to the 4 statements CLI pattern though I've heard some getting it sooner.

My CLI came before my fourth statement. So I wasnt able to request more through the luv button. YMMV, but Id give it a shot now. Can't hurt anything

just called the first bd # on walmart underwriters(2nd one didn't work--disconnected) and asked for cli--the csr said she could try it but it would be another hp--sound right?--I declined.

There's some discrepency with CSR info, my request was reviewed with the credit report that was pulled for approval; however, I literally called in something like 2 minutes post approval and I wasn't asking for all that much.

I got a card in November. I had to call to get an answer as it said pending for several days. After some security questions I was approved for a WM Discover, but with only an 800 limit. I asked the person I was talking to about an increase. He said I needed to wait to get the card.
I blew it off as I really only applied for the score, but on a whim I did call underwriting yesterday (877-379-8173) to ask for an increase. Only one statement has cut and I have only used it 2 times; once for 35 to renew my Sams membership, and a few days ago for gas (just to use it). The gas is still a pending one dollar authorization. I said I wanted a more "usable" CL and asked for $5000. She soft pulled my TU and approved it. I would recommend calling rather than using the button, as I doubt the button would give that much of an increase.

GE sure is great with increases. I have had my walmart card since november, and my second statement just cut. I will wait a couple more months to see if they auto-cli, if not I will call and ask.

Great info, my 4th statement cut day is Feb 9, how low was your balance?
My CL is 300, should i leave it at 100? 50? 30?
Thanks
