Chase Sapphire Preferred
BCE
Penfed Signature Rewards
Amex green
In the garden until 06/13.Well see what my FICO scores are then and make a determination to app or stay in the garden!
I'm happy with my current status and gardening.
After a year without apps I might add store or cas cards strategically but otherwise have no need...
I'm going to ask for the 61 day 3x CLI on my BCE in early Feb. If approved, I'm going to cancel my secured CC. Then garden for another 6 months and request another 3x CLI on the BCE. That should put me into a late summer 2013 app spree that will consist of:
Citi Forward
BofA Travel Rewards
...and possibly Chase Freedom depending on the research I find on the Travel Rewards card
They only big bank card I want is a citi bank card. Not sure which one I want though.
I current have these cards:
NFCU cashREWARDS
AMEX Blue
Wells Fargo
Chase BluePrint
Capital One Cash Rewards
Discover More
Total (subprime)
As far as store cards, I don't have any.
I want to app for:
Macy's
Lowe's
sear's
Old Navy
Taget
Walmart
My goals for 2013 is: Amex, Capital One, and Barclay's NFL Extra Points (Chicago Bears)
I tried my luck with Barclay and I just got approved! $1000 credit limit (highest ever on my report) and I have a closed First Premier card from 2 years ago and student loans reporting as paying as agreed. So I can scratch that one off the list
I want a CLI on all my cards!

I would like to get the B.C.E. in January for maximum backdating.
I would also like to try for the U.S. Bank Cash + and the Penfed platinum rewards.
Sorry, new to this forum, but I'm curious about the AMEX backdating you're talking about? I think I know what backdating is (you have an AMEX account, you close it later on, then years down the road you open it again and AMEX backdates your account to show on your credit reports that you were a member the whole time, right?). How does getting it in January provide the most benefit though?
Goal cards:
Chase Hyatt
Chase Priority Club (for the soon-to-be-wife)
PC US Bank Cash Rewards to US Bank Cash+
I'd also love PenFed Platinum Rewards, but the two pulls for membership and for the card make me want to hold back on this. Winding apps down in anticipation of applying for a mortgage late 2013 or early-mid 2014.

Welcome to the forum, slippy 84 ...
Say you got an AmEx card 4/2011 and you want another AmEx card but now it's 12/2012 ( really close). I believe waiting for the next year to roll around (January 2013), it will backdate the 2nd card to your original memership date (4/2011). So now you have 2 AmEx card that are over 1yr old. You know with AmEx they don't have customers, they have members.
(I'm sure another member can explain it better)
