Here is an interesting website that helps give you an ideal of the base FICO scores to have for certain cards, it also has some decent info on a variety of cards:

That is a great website. Yesterday I posted that url for their scorewatch section.

You plug in your FICO score, choose the range you want it to search, and it brings up cc's that are appropriate for that scoring range.
