Good Low-Interest CCs

Up until now, my primary motive in the cards I've apped for (since my CR is better) has been rewards. But I think it would also be a good idea to have a good low-interest CC. I've looked at the Ring and am considering it. But Barclay's gave me a low CL w/Apple, so I'm not sure they'd be my best bet.

Navy has Plat, which I'm considering. But I may have capped my total CL w/them w/my Visa, so they might deny a 2nd CC.

USAA doesn't offer good rates to non-active military, so I took them off of my possible list.

Slate looks good, but I just got the Chase Freedom w/$3k, so I'm not sure they'd give me a 2nd card so soon.

Those are the only ones I can think of. Any other suggestions would be great! :smileyhappy:

Re: Good Low-Interest CCs

Barclay Ring was the first that popped into my mind.  Outside of that look into other credit unions.  DCU is 8.x%, Senate 9.25%, Alliant 9.24%, etc.

Remember the massive Nationwide thread? Many, myself included, got 7.24%.

Re: Good Low-Interest CCs - ALLIANT??

Thanks. Does anyone have Alliant? I was thinking about them a while ago when there were a lot of posts about them, but it seems like they're not really discussed much here anymore.

I wonder how one CU feels about getting a different CU CC. LIke would Navy be upset that I got an Alliant card? Or vice versa?

No, your not going to hurt their feelings!  Another data point, if you get a DCU credit card you get your EQ FICO for free every month.

Re: Good Low-Interest CCs - ALLIANT??

The short answer is not really, especially if CLs are in line with income and DTI is in check but it is not something you should waste time worrying about. It is not like a Barclay's type deal.

Alliant and DCU are good options IMO -the first has a 0% no fee BTif any balances and the other a free EQ FICO

First Tech as low as 7.25

CFCU 8.XX

Re: Good Low-Interest CCs - ALLIANT??

I remember seeing something like a Simmons first visa platinum or something like that once that had about a 7% interest rate which is the lowest I have ever seen. Might be quite hard to get though even with a good score and history.
