Good plan for Citi Diamond Preferred (CDP)??

So now that I have my 3xcli to $10.5k on BCE, my final card desired is the CDP!!

I want to make sure that:
A. My new Amex cl is reporting
B. Score is about 700 FICO

So I want to app around 12/20/12.

My aaoa has gone down to like two years :-/. I have 9-11 inqs on each report, but within the past year, I maybe have three on each report. I was app happy in 2011 for some reason :-/.
My util is like 9-10%. I'd really like to close a few low limit accts, but those are some of my oldest lines :-/

Good plan?! I'm just super scared of Citi! They have always denied my tri ck assssszzz. LOL :-P

You won't feel the effect of closing those small limit lines for 10 years, except in your UTIL.

Are you sure? Lol Hmm yeah, a $1500 Chevron card is pointless.

Re: Good plan for Citi Diamond Preferred (CDP)??

Can I ask a question? Why that particular card? Simplicity offers the same 18mos 0 apr and is great if you are occasionally forgetful, TY Pref/Prem/Pres have better travel rewards, Dividend has better rotating cash back, Forward has guaranteed interest rate reductions and great restaurant/shopping rewards, Hilton cards have better perks and AA cards have better travel benefits. As far as I can see, the diamond preferred gets a concierge. So why is this the one you are going for?

In wallet: Ink Plus 10k, AMEX TE 25k. In bag: CSP 16k, USAA WMC 15k, Hyatt 13k, United MPE 12k, AMEX HHonors 3k. In SD: Cap 1 QS 5k, Discover IT 7k. FICO 08 says my EQ is now 844, was 510 in 2010.

Re: Good plan for Citi Diamond Preferred (CDP)??

This card is on my radar for late next year.  If they are inquiry sensitive (since I have 16 on my report now, half from mortgages), I may have to wait unti 2014.

My Wallet:
Discover It $14,300 | Chase Sapphire Preferred $7,500 | Chase Freedom $5,000 | Citi Simplicity $5,000 | AMEX BCE $3,000 | Paypal Extras Platinum $5,000 | Wells Fargo $1,000 | AMEX Zync NPSL
