Good thing utilization has no memory...

So I usually leave about 2% utilization on one card and pay the rest down to zero for maximum scoring purposes. This last month I made all my payments before the statement date and spaced on keeping anything on that card. MyFICO starts blowing up this morning with score decreases between all reports between 9 and 16 points! I knew it made a difference but not that much!

I guess I can chalk this up to a lesson learned haha.

Re: Good thing utilization has no memory...

I was wondering this myself.  But then I app for a NFCU and my credit went UP 28 pts.  So I looked around the forms and found out that you are getting points for the zero balance but unless something trigers it you cant see it.  I dont know if I explained it as well as I read it, but I hope this helps.
