The card looks cheap and I almost threw it out because I thought it was fake. I ordered a customized card. Hoping it'll have raised (embossed?) letters and would look like a real credit card
Haha I agree with how horrible looking the card is. Looks like one of those fake cardboard cards companies like Credit One and First Premier send out with their "you've been approved" letters.

The customized one does come with raised numbers.
The card looks cheap because the company that issues it is cheap. Pretty straightforward.
Too cheap to print out decent cards, too cheap for CLIs, too cheap to hire employees who can really do anything about your account. The employees who can do PCs and CLIs are hidden away in the EO department. Too cheap to handle affairs in a normal manner so instead they conduct their business through Facebook PMs like some college kid. About the only thing they spend money on is triple hard pulls.
And for the final insult they denied my cusomized card image because the subject of my photo was a woman whose shirt collar was about 2 millimeters off the shoulder. I guess they found that too suggestive, huh. I can't wait to douse this card with gasoline and set it ablaze.

No ones stopping you. Were they the only ones to give you a chance with their credit card or wasn't that worth mentioning?

I initially paid them $3k (different starting account) for the priviledge of having a card with their name on it that spends my own secured funds, yes. And held onto that for several years. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make: That if a company accepts subprime borrowers they should receive a pass to conduct business in such a manner? What the heck kind of company uses PMs on Facebook for biz purposes and has "secret" email addresses instead of just having customer service be able to handle it or at least forward the call to someone who can? You know, answer the darn phone, or respond to a secure email? Remember that stuff?
I've had accounts with every subprime lender out there and the only thanks I owe Capital One is for keeping my $3k for 4 years without paying me interest. Thanks guys, you kept it safe for me. There. Comenity/Victoria's at least gave me CLIs once in a while and there was never a problem getting issue handled if they came up. The catalogs were a nice bonus too.

No ones stopping you from getting rid of your card. Some people either have a choice of cards with $175 annual fees and monthly charges or Capital One. Close your card and move on, now that they helped you get better cards. If you didn't need them why did you get their card to start with? It seems that you have know one to blame but yourself if you had better choices in credit cards.
Cap 1 can be so infuriating!!!
Agreed very cheaplooking card. Anyway welcome to crap one lol.
