Green Amex approved after chargeoff...Unbelievable

I ran into financial problems 4 yrs ago and had a AMEX green balance charged off which I finally paid this year through a DMP. I have tried for 3 mos. to get the Optima Oasis which I was told I qualified for. I was told today NCO no longer sends out letters for Oasis card. About to give up we conferenced with an AMEX person who told me it was too late to get the Oasis since 90 days had passed since the payoff. Frustrated and about to hang up, the AMEX associate advised to apply for their green card like I had before. I reluctantly and with little hope applied by phone and got it! So many people on here have had to get the Oasis and that is the card I thought I would qualify for. Persistance finally paid. Thanks to everyone on here who post and encourages those of us who have seen tough times and are now trying to make it right again!
