HBSC would pull credit report to CLI.

I just called them and they asked me if it was OK to pull a Credit Report and I told them nope, and they declined the CLI application.

This is the first time I call a lender and they request a copy of my credit report to extends my line of credit. Once I paid the whole balance with them, I'm going to cancel my account with them.

HSBC ALWAYS warns you but that doesn't mean they will pull.  They will not do it if you don't authorize so anytime you request you take a chance on a hard.

I wanted the CLI but they wouldn't do it unless I authorize the credit pull.

Gads! They are as bad as Applied Bank! You have to "purchase" your cli's.

IMO, you did the right thing.

Haha, I'll tell you whats bad about applied card is that darn card upgrade. Totally Annoying! "You're approved for a credit card upgrade to a visa gold-visa platinum" So one day I asked so just what is that you get for paying a 50.00 finance charge? One rep told me there is no difference only the card looks nicer??? So I said you dont get more of a credit limit increase on a platinum versus the classic? The rep said no... I don't think so!

Re: HBSC would pull credit report to CLI.

Guess it depends on the card. Last increase I auth'd, no pull tho they are known for small increases. Not a rebuilder tho.
