HELP: Car Rental Insurance and Product Change

I recently rented a car that got broken into. I rented the car using my BOA Visa Signature that is in the middle of a product change. My BOA account has been converted to an Amex Accelerated Rewards, and BOA gave me the number for AMEX insurance since this is what is popping on my screen. Should I file the claim to Amex or Visa?

Also, I just got my BOA card today. Should I activate thereby nullifying the Visa Sig card or just wait till the claim is processed?

The card that was swiped or paid for online for the rental car is the card that you'd file the claim on.

Will Visa honor the insurance when I cancell my BOA Visa Sig?

You may want to call the claims the department to know for sure.  I don't see why they would deny a claim.   The incident occured before the account was closed or to be closed.
