Re: HELP NEEDED IN MY CC DILEMMA!!!

Welcome to MyFico Forum...based on the information provided here are my suggestions:

1) Become a member of PenFed either through your work affiliation if they are on the eligibility list or through American Red Cross (if you have never donated to them just do anytime, even if it's after becoming a member) PenFed doesn't verify that you donated, they just take your word for it. Once a member apply for the PenFed Promise card and you will either get an answer right then or will be sent to underwriter for approval. They may call you for verification and to answer some questions.

2) Become a memebr of USAA and apply for one of the 3 cards offered to limited members.

3) Apply for Barclay Rewards Card...here is the link https://www.barclaycardus.com/apply/Landing.action?campaignId=1583&cellNumber=6&referrerid=IMRPPCBR

4) Also apply for Sallie Mae credit card....here is the link https://www.salliemae.com/landing/signaturecreditcard/

To sum up, PenFed and USAA will pull EQ, Barclay and Salli Mae will pull TU. If you do apply for the Sallie Mae card you will be told to call them after to confirm the application and approval status. Good Luck!

Yup...I called and asked the nice lady if I will need to prove my donation I have made in the past to Red Cross and she said nope. So anyone can join PenFed and choose the Red Cross for eligiblity...remember the honor system Smiley Wink
