HELP! WITH CLOSING CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT

That is pretty much what they told me when I tried to do a product change.  I used my card fairly regularly for small purchases.  I wasn't unhappy with them or with the card even though it provided no benefits, however, a $500 CL with a $79 AF, is entirely useless to me at this stage of the game.

I'm pretty much OK with these companies not allowing a product change from affinity cards; I understand the reasoning behind this. I do wish though that they'd do like American Express and let you keep or share the history with the original opening date if you went ahead and opened a second card...

I'm pretty allergic to re-aging these days!
