HSBC/Best Buy

I recently joined the 700 club. yet I can't get HSBC to raise my credit limit and I was turned down by Best Buy which is run by HSBC.

Is it possible I am blacklisted? Only bad thing on my Equifax is a 30 day late from 2007 and discharged bankruptcy from 2005.

It may be the timing of your applying. HSBC USA credit is converting to Capital One USA credit as we speak.

I think I had a CO with them back in 07 that I had deleted. That has to be it.

Unless they specifically said that in a denial letter, I doubt it.
