My limit is 2000, but would like to increase because of Age of account
would give that a try, would update you. Thanks
It was a soft pull, they asked my income and address and thats all. You can do CLI every 6 months, through the back door the rep informed me.

Good to know i may go for a cli once my CR is updated with 0 balances .
Same here. it's either CLI or closure from here. No need for a $300 CL subprime card unless they are willing to increase.
I just closed my HSBC card because they would not give me a CLI, buh bye HSBC!!!!

@Anonymous mine has been sitting @ 400 for a year now , but i never called about a CLI before so ill give it a go soon . On a side note Capone gave me a 100 dollar cli this month lol now the capone is up to $301 lol . I cant wait to finish gardening for a bit untill my scores are 700 or atleast close to it , im sick of these cards !
They started me out with a $2000 cl, then, after about a year, they lowered my limit to $305. No warning, just got a letter in the mail one day...the letter stated that my score was in the low 500's, which I know is not correct. I stewed of course for a couple of days, then called them b/c I wanted to close the card. I was transferred to a supervisor b/c the 1st lady couldn't tell me anything and couldn't close my card. The "supervisor" asked which letter I had received, after telling her she said not to pay attention to the "credit score" listed that it was simply a form letter. She said that since I hadn't used my card for a few months (like 7) that they figured I did not need that much of a limit so they lowered. She then said that if I started using my card that after a few months it may go back up. Well, it has been 4 mos now and no change. Since my bk discharge in Dec 09 I have obtained 3 cards and a bestbuy card - have not been late actually usually pay prior to statement date, and have not paid any interest on any of them, all but one (which i used the 0 financing for about 9 mos) have been pif each month. I do not want to press the credit line increase request b/c i do not want a hard pull....so...I am starting to think that maybe I should just close
I got my HSCB Best Buy Mastercard 6 months ago. It was my first credit card and it came with a $300 limit.
When my 6th statment cut I called the backdoor number and requested a cli. I was asked for my income and I was told I was approved for a $300 limit increase. Putting my limit up to $600. No hard pull.
Is the HSBC - Best Buy under the same as the House Hold Bank Credit Card? My Best Buy has a Credit Limit of $1530.00. Just curious
