I applied for Best Buy Card and received a letter in the mail needing verification of address and ssn.  Does this mean I was approved or just need information for verification purposes only

From my experience, this sounds like an approval. I'd give them the info.

I believe it is an approval! I received a similar letter earlier this week from Macy's, and after I called in to verify my identity, my application was approved.

I called to verify the information. I was approved for $300, the Best Buy Mastercard. So thats good.
