Does anyone know for a 100 percent certainty when they report to the CRA's? Statement Date or End of Month?
I ask because my statement cut last week, zero balance as usual, but I need to use it this week for an oil change and I don't want them to report a balance. (Especially since I will use $150 of the $300)
Orchard reports on the LAST DAY OF THE MONTH.
Other HSBC cards such as American Dream report on statement closing date.
Each one of the HSBC cards are differient. Orchard will be a last day of the month report.

Pappy214, do you have some old credit reports lying around that you can look at? Sounds like you pay in full every month. If old reports show zero balance, and you always pay in full before the statement cuts, you should be cool with the oil change.
Thats the problem. I always PIF before the stement cuts, and they have shown a zero since last November, but, I also don't use the card between the statement date and the end of the month.
So I can't really judge when they report. All I know is a ramp up of 50 percent on one card might send the wrong signals if someone does a soft pull, not to mention the devastation of having both report a balance and a 58 percent utilization, after never having gone over 9 percent in 5 months. My scores would explode like the Hindenburg.

Thanks Mark. In that case the oil change needs to wait a week.
I got my BestBuy RZ MC last month and statment cut about a week ago. It is not reported yet. So looks to me it would report end of this month. On the back of the card it says it is issued by HSBC and not Orchard. Does any one if BB RZ MC report to Credit Reports?
This may help.
I deliberately left $2 on my Orchard as of January 31, and PIF'ed it February 3.
I got a Scorewatch alert on February 15 that my Orchard balance has increased by $2.
So, whatever the balance is the last day of the month gets reported the middle of the next month.
