HSBC Slow to Report to CRA's

I've been waiting for my HSBC accounts to post on my CR. They are supposed to report on the 31st.  But here it is April 1 and they still haven't reported my PIF's.  Anyone else have this problem>?

Re: HSBC Slow to Report to CRA's

Well I've had my Best Buy MC (HSBC) for about three weeks.  Been using it.  Already paid the first payment online.  Nothing on my CRs yet.  I am not sure of when they post though.

Re: HSBC Slow to Report to CRA's

I believe the CCC's report to the CRA's - but then the CRA's still have to update.
So you have to wait for both of them to do their jobs, before you'll see the change.
I could be wrong but I vaguely remember people talking about the CRA's "sitting on updates" etc

Re: HSBC Slow to Report to CRA's

I guess there is no telling what kind of games these agencies play with our information.  The more I learn, the more I think that the "credit game" is just one huge conspiracy.

Re: HSBC Slow to Report to CRA's

modernsurrender is right.  HSBC probably reported yesterday, since they report on the last business day of the month (not always the 31st; can be anywhere from 28th through 31st).  Once they update, though, expect it to take another 3-10 days for the CRAs to update your reports before you see the changes.

Re: HSBC Slow to Report to CRA's

One would think that if an Inquiry shows up seconds after it's posted, then a monthly payment and status report should do the same thing.  Smiley Indifferent

I agree! I've had HSBC for a little over a month now and they still haven't reported!

Yeah, what hurts you gets reported immediately and what helps lags for days.

People say this all the time, but that's just not true.  CCCs almost always report at the same time every month, and CRAs update all your accounts in the order they were reported.  It doesn't matter if the information is good or bad, the schedule is the same.

Re: HSBC Slow to Report to CRA's

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation HSBC brings new meaning to the phrase: being Shanghai-ed.  LOL.
