Re: Hardest credit card to get (excluding the obvious)

I would really like to get the Brown AmEx from Harrods, but I don't think it's available in the US.

Yea, I doubt this available in the US. Kinda neat to see a brown amex though.

Any of the cards from Penfed can be pretty hard to get. Even people with perfect credit often get denied due to "pyramiding debt". Just apply for whatever fits your spending patterns.

What's interesting is that along with the Harrods card there is also the Nectar card.  Nectar points are offered by a variety of retailers, many of them just normal high street stores, quite a distance from the perceived luxury status of Harrods.

Most active card: Amex BC ($50K)
Others: CSP, Freedom, Chase Amazon, Cap One QS (x2), Penfed Plat Rewards (x2), Citi Double Cash, Citi Dividend, Citi AA Plat Select, Citi Forward, Amex BCE, Amalgamated Bank, Sallie Mae, Cash Plus, Fid Amex
Scores May 14: EQ 848, EX 833, TU 848 (Sep)

For me, I think US Bank seems to be the most stringent.  My first card, they reviewed and interviewed me before approving it.
