Has anyone ever got Cheveron/Texaco card upgraded?

Just curious, has GE ever sent upgrade offers for their Cheveron/Texaco cards?

It's the one card they don't auto upgrade. I have $2400 limit on the regular gas card. Although if offered, I wouldn't accept it because it would be a hit on my AAoA.

You might try calling to see what the process is though.

That's funny! I was thinking about all the gas I could buy with my CL at Chevron! Just the thought of the high APR gives me the shivers.

I used it twice after the last CLI. Felt I owed it to them. SD'd until the end of the year.

Re: Has anyone ever got Cheveron/Texaco card upgraded?

I used mine all through May because they claimed to be offering 10 cents per gallon in credit which is supposed to automatically appear on my next statement. I'm curious to see if they will follow through on this. If they don't, I have all my May gas receipts and the mailing that they sent, and I'll try to dispute if it comes to that.

But... I hadn't used it for months before that, and it's back in the SD now. Far as upgrading it to Visa, I'd have to agree with previous poster that it would only serve to ding your AAoA, at least if it would be regarded as PC. Without special circumstances like the offer last month, the card is pretty useless either way.

I wish mine was 10 cents per gallon in credit, mine is 20 cents for the 1st 60 days .
