I've had my Sapphire Preferred card now for just over a month and I've already gotten a lot of comments about it at cash registers. The few, "that's a heavy card" comments aren't really that bad, but this one guy at the Verizon store went nuts and started passing it around to his co-workers. Honestly, that was pretty awkward and uncomfortable. It's gotten me thinking about calling to see if I can request a plain, normal plastic version. Has anyone here done this?

I haven't done it, but you can request one. Just call the number on the back of your card.

Koop, does your Sapphire MC have the silver logo or the standard one?

It does have the silver logo that was supposed to be reserved for World Elite.

I really like the silver logo, but I don't want to change mine because I want to have at least one Chase Visa signature. Otherwise I'd swap for sure.

yeah that had some people confused if the sapphire cards were world or world elite.
I know the paypal extras card has the silver logo on the backside(it doesn't say world though). The frontside has the normal color logo.

You should be proud that people want to look at your card! Granted, its not cool for somebody to start passing it around without your permission.. But still, i would see it as a compliment that people oooo and ahhhh about it
