Help - International Marriott Points Earning rate?

Hello all,

 

I am planning a trip to Thailand at the end of November, and I have a question in regards to earning Marriott points.

Are points based on the US dollar equivalent?

Essentially I am looking to book a location for about 7 nights and I’m trying to calculate how many points I would accumulate based on the rate.

* I have both the Ritz and Marriott card if that helps.

25 years old. Scores around 740. Income = 45K. Chase Car Loan @ 2.4%, AAOA = 2 years. Total Personal CL = 120k.

That's a good question, I'd like to know also but I have a feling it may be based on the currency that the hotel is booked at
