Have you tried Cap One but with an unsecured card (regardless of your history with them)?

Yes that's what i have rite now, unsecured with 300 limit blahh! I think my problem is more about low length of credit than bad credit. My FICO TU is 663 and EQ: 649...

Also Prady, if you're planning on applying for other cards in addition to Barclays, make sure Barclays is the LAST one of the bunch you app for. According to a few threads I've read here, they'll close your account if you've applied for credit after them. I don't have a Barclays account but there are several stories on here that you can verify this info or maybe someone will chime in if it has happened to them.
