The Cabela's Visa is a decent card, especially if you shop there. You get 2% cash back there, plus $25 in cash backupon approval. Plus 1% cash back on everything else. No AF, andtithe interest rate is decent (mine is 12%). They pull a hard on EQ for CLI's.

I've considered this as a card for my husband. Do you know what the approval scores needed are? He's credit challenged at the moment, but rebuilding via NFCU Platinum card with a 4k limit

I would have to research the boards some, but can tell you that when I was approved in 2009, my score was around 660ish, with a 7 yo BK still reporting. There have been some mixed reports of them no longer being BK friendly, as of late.

So far I've got the following options to present him with: Cabelas Visa (the ammo for my gun there is a really good value), Wal Mart Discover, another NFCU card.

my equifax was 673 at time of approval, credit limit should determine how good they thought that score was
