I have been helping my friend with their credit, and they have very good scores 720 EX. I told her she should apply for Chase Amazon and Discover It, she got approve for Discover for $1500, she never had any credit so she receive a $300 CC from Cap1 and they CLI to $500 last week. She also has a Kohls card for $400. She is newbie, so her Im starting her off right. Now when she called CHase for a Recon they said she doesnt have a long establish history. Should she give up on the recon and just wait until she have had all these cards for a year? SHe call 2X . Her first CC was December 2012 but didnt start using until March, she really only has had about 6 months of establishing credit. Chase said that its reporting 9 Months. What should she do?
Also she cant seem to get on Equifax, she was denied credit from Macys and others because she has nothing reporting on Equifax and Transunion, how can she establish credit with others creditors so she can report to Equifax and Transunion?
Thank You in advance for your help
For Chase, I would advise her to wait 6 months and re-apply. To get on Equifax and Transunion, her Cap1 and Kohl's should be reporting to all three agencies. Not sure what's going on there. Maybe give them another couple months to report. Or she could try for a Walmart card.
