I just received a letter from Macy's asking if I wanted a Star Reward Platinum Visa.   They didn't ask for my SS# all they wanted was my mothers maiden name and my John Hancock. I already have a Macy's Store Card with 3500 limit(received CLI of 2000, last month ) And I ready have a Target Visa.  So, I  have 2 questions: 1. Should I accept the offer? 2 . Is this a hard or soft inq?

#2.Probably soft ,but if your concerned I would call and ask.

TAKE IT!

they give CLI every 3 months on the visa just like the store card.

and many many posters have applied for Macy's Visa after having the store card for some time and have had NO SUCCESS, if they are offering it to you, I would jump real quick.

It is a totally separate account from your store card and it's own CL

Are they bk friendly and if so who do they pull and what is an ideal score?
