My high balance with my venture was around $3.1k and that was never reported on an actual statement either (only had two statement cut so far: one for $1.7k and one for $2.4k) so they reported my highest ever balance as well.
High balance and actual amount the statement reports are separate. High balance will always equal the largest amount of money you've had on a card in your history..
