My highest is $16,500 on a Chase United Mileage Plus. Both my husband and mom have $31,000 limits on Citi cards. I just got a Citi card back in April and the line is only $7,300. I had always thought they were the most generous with limits.
Dear ALL,
How do you get these types of credit limit (CL)? I only have a credit card with $600 CL. How long do you have to wait before it bumps up?
Thanks,
Yama

Holy Mother ... What's your income at? that is nuts!
Income is a consideration, but I believe the critical factor is my longstanding relationship and "on-time or early" payment history with PFCU. I used to have a checking account with them, five auto loans (four paid off), and two signature loans (both paid off). I have found that they are very loyal to customers that are loyal to PFCU. I also follow the sound guidance on this site and in several good books re: FICO score rules and guidelines. PFCU has increased my credit limit to $50,000 over time.
USAA has treated me very well also for similar reasons--$35,000 CL.
awww... I gotcha.
Good to hear and Congrats crd! I can only hope to have a CL that high someday!
