Try for a Walmart CLI its always a soft pull and availible every 4 months.

I tried after six months and Walmart still wouldn't give me a CLI.  They didn't even give me a counter-offer.  I think they've changed things over at GECRB lately.

Re: Highest Limits?

My highest line was $31K back in '04 before I went through BK7.  Went through a good 4 years of $300-$400 limits before I broke through.  Now my highest limit is over $24K and I have two more lines that are $17K and above.

Just work hard at the credit management part of this and you'll be back on top before you know it!

Re: Highest Limits?

Guess there is hope for me to get back to where I was at too. In 2005 I had over 240K in open revolving lines prior to getting myself in trouble by maxxing out all of my lines due to problems with my business. Never claimed bankrupcy but got very past due and paid everything off even the charge offs. Didnt have a credit card since 2005 - 2009. Got some rebuilder cards in 2009 but wasnt able to get a prime card due to having had an account closed or charged off.

Just recently got my highest limit a Chase 10k (great considering they closed a 50k card due to poor payment history in 2005). This forum is great my recent app spree resulted in pendings all the way around but when I called for recon and was able to talk with the analyst and explain the past dealings they were very forthcoming in granting a credit line. The only one that wont give me a card (out of the banks I applied and had cards previous) was AMEX.

Hopefully some day I can get back to the high limits that I had, not that I need to put that much on credit but its nice.

Re: Highest Limits?

@OFE

That's what ticks me off about the credit game.. You should have great credit! You didn't take the easy road like most do, you jumped in with both feet and paid your debt. But now you need to start from point A all over again.. Any Bank should have you as a customer.

Re: Highest Limits?

In the past my high was over 25k with no cards under 5k.. I never wanted crazy limits so I never told a CC I made more the 35k.

Now that I'm starting on page one again my high is 1500 with a low of 500

Why 0? it may look to them like you don't use your cards. Get it around 5-9% and try again.
