Re: Highest card

Most issuers don't have a hardest card to obtain. Do you mean most prestigious? If so, very few cards are prestigious nowadays. Do you mean hardest to get? Based on few inquiries, low utilization, high spend, high income, or what? The Barclaycard Sallie Mae is probably a harder card than the Centurion for a person with a 680 FICO score, 500k yearly CC spend and 25 experian inquiries in the last year. On the other hand, if you have a 750 FICO score, no inquiries and a 50k/year CC spend, the Centurion is not something you are going to get. I used extreme examples, but they illustrate the point. Hardest card to get is way too generic a statement.

All of these issuers approve mediocre to high end profiles with similar frequency.

Re: Highest card

Simmons First, Iberia are usually going to have stringent underwriting -- top, top notch credit needed that isn't overly actively seeking credit.

With personal experience re: Cap1 GM buy power was an "easy" card to get, but was denied for Venture I think once or twice. Finally got it through the EO, but closed it recently just due to no reason to keep it. (Not getting any deeper into that part than that. lol)
