happypill appreciate your response. This is why MyFico is so helpful. In the past I believed one size fits all. After following this website I have learned there may be some common threads but, not all. For instance, I have no Costco or Walmart Stores or for that matter any major fuel chains left (they all closed out and the independents took it). My residence is on the edge of the Superior National Forest and in the heart of the largest mines in the US. With that said, many of the options MyFico'ers utilize don't apply here. So, we need to look for the various options that will work. From this board I get ideas such as yours to see the best fit. Sometimes it can be frustrating but in truth for me (a small buyer) it is not a big expense (for families it surly is).
