got Y pre approval 9/07 got 3K CL 8 or 9 months out  go a $800 CLI , to day I log in and see my credit is $4,800, !1K CLI and use it a niche card and to get cash over.

People say "Only apply for credit you NEED"

I say "apply for credit you have PRATICAL use of"

I don't have AMEX card because I don't want a card that suffers from PMS

Congrats.  I'm sitting at $2500 with Discover.  I hope to to receive a CLI soon.

They gave me $2k CLI at 6 months, going from $2k to $4k.  Hope to get at least that again in March.

It is reported from CSR contacts that the current cap on the soft INQ telephone CLI's is $2K. (Which is what I got in July.) I thought someone here had said they had gotten more than that, but that could have been a while ago, based on speaking to an agent, based on a hard INQ or all of the above.

recently denied a cli on More card at about 7 mos. (too many new accts)

 

will try again in 6-12 mos.

I have numerous recent accounts, so I'm sure, I would be told the same. Thanks for the info.  I now know not to look forward to a CLI with Discover this year.
