Thanks everyone, I've learned so much from this site and the various threads. While it's not popular around here, I'll be forever gratefull to Cap 1 for extending me my 1st credit card in a very long time and getting back on a road to credit prosperity.
Now, it's time to wait until September to go Prime baby! With my scores and my current limits on the 2 cards that I have I shouldn't have a problem getting the 1 I have my sites on.
Congrats. I got an auto CLI as well. I went from $500 that I've had for 5 years to $4500. I though it was a mistake, but recieve a letter saying thanks for being a loyal customer, blah, blah, blah. I about fell out of my chair!
Same thing happened to me this month! I opened with Capital One for my first credit card in college (2000) with a $300 limit, it was then raised to $1000 a few years later and I just checked and I was raised to $4000. Thank you Capital One!
I have been stuck at the same crappy 1500 for 3 years now.
I can beat that. I've had a $700 CL for 11 years now with a $39 AF. The only reason I keep it is for the history. It's the oldest active TL on my report. I'll probably pay the last AF from Capitol One out of my estate funds when I die. LOL
i'm all depressed and teary eyed reading these posts cuz I thought I was gonna see someone luvin' but it didn't quite work out that way.
gonna call backdoor number to tomorrow since the lady i spoke with tonight said that they are the "experts". she also said that it would only be a soft pull inq. regardless, i have the cap one rewards card with a $19 AF...i'm curious to know what my CL cap will be.
I"ll post results tomorrow (everyone pray for me lol)
