DENIED ON CLI!
716 was his score.
2500 is his highlest limit. WTH?? Weirdos. (only neg is bk filed 10/05).
When he talked to the phone rep from the store, they asked him about an address he lived at when he was in high school that his grandparents owned, asked him if he know who JV was who is his father. WoW, they sure know a lot more stuff than we think they know. NONE of this is on his reports....and he didn't have ANY credit back at that grandma address!!!!

The sales lady asked if we wanted to apply for the credit card we could get 10% off the carpet if we were approved, so I did and I was approved for $1000.00 on the spot.
I have wanted a Home Depot card for so long but my credit was never good enough and now it is!
Congratulations on the approval! It's so wonderful when your credit gets to the point where you're able to be approved for cards that you really want. So happy for you!

Didn't he get approved for $500, and now he has $2500? Sorry if I missed something.
Yes HD and Lowes are known to give instant CLI if call in... still kicking myself for not doing it on my Lowes card... Next month I guess will look into my 4 month increase

They did the same thing to me when I was approved for my HD card. Asked some really "off the wall" questions that freaked me out a bit. They are pretty good about increasing the limit when you call the BD number. I went from an "in store" approval of $1001 to $7000 after I got home and called in.

Congrats! I've had my Home Depot card for a while, I was approved for $500 and used it here and there for stuff I needed. I applied for a CLI about 6 months ago and got $2,000 CL. I purchased a shed for $750 with the installation and 6 months to pay it off... Paid it off in 3-4 months, But still was denied for my $5,000 increase however I asked they use the same credit report instead of pulling a new one so that's probably why I got denied... I was going to help my dad rebuild a cement block wall, But I'm way too far in debt to do that right now. lol.
