Citi is a fickle company. They have Citigroup and they have Citibank. I do believe each division handles each differently. The retail credit has different criteria than the bank back cards. I went chp 7 with AAdvantage card back in the early 90's and over twenty years later couldn't get approved for a Citibank card, due to the chp 7, but got approved for a shell card. Now I'm in with them through Costco.
Reason given, there was only one cited: "Bankruptcy/Chapter 7 or 13"
Is this recon-able in any way, shape or form? I've been a model citizen since the DC six (6) months ago and have attained several major high limit cards since then.
