Hooter's CLI

After the apping frenzy last year to get their Hooter's - is anyone starting to see CLI's at the 6 month mark.  Just curious, my 6 month mark is next month???

I would luv my Hooters card even more if I could get some plastic surgery done to the CL...

Re: Hooter's CLI

I am in a rutt.  I am have applied for a few cards hoping to get decent credit limits for my current scores and I think I have done ok.  Macys ($1k), Crown Jewl ($1500), Kay Jewl ($5k), but what I really really want is a Hooters card.
I applied on 2/29 and still waiting for a response.  I called twice and its still in review.
What do you think my chances are of getting approved at this point.

Also, I found it odd that they check my credit for a PenFedCU account?  I only have cards with $300 CL (Household and First Premier-YUCK!)

Anyway do you think I have a slight baby chance.

You're off to a better start than I had when I was rebuilding.

My results with some of the cards you have when I applied back in the day:

Hooters - denied
Macy's - denied
Kay - $1500

Yes, I'd say you have a good chance.

Nope not at all.  Establishing positive tradelines is the "rebuilding" part of improving your credit.  One question though.  Did you have any revolving accounts reporting when you applied for Hooters?

Re: Hooter's CLI

Cheddar, kind of new at this what do you mean by "revolving"?  Are you referring to credit card with balances.  Well, my highest balance is Cap with a CL of $750 and bal $600.  I planned on paying $350 tomorrow and the balance next week.
I am trying to get all of my existing balances to zero with my HSBC and FPB cards.  My store cards (Target, Dillards,Amer Eag) are low CL and low balances.  Since, I only joined on 2/29 I realize the important of zero or less than 10% of CL balances,
I planned on getting these to zero.  Since getting these cards they all have been paid off several times, but only received an increase with Amer Eag.  It started at CL $100.00.

So back to revolving, if I do have existing revolving it is bad.  As you and hauling stated before by the end of this year it should balance out right?  I have 9 deliquents coming off this year.

What do you think?

Re: Hooter's CLI

Revolving means any credit card account.  It has nothing to do with whether it has a balance.

The reason I asked is that Hooters will deny if you don't have at least one (some say two) existing revolving account(s) on your report.  They refuse to be anyone's first credit card, in other words.  Just wanted to make sure you wouldn't be denied for that reason.
