I applied for a Hooter's Credit Card and was denied.
The reason for denial was "Recent Mortgage" - this was the only reason listed on the denial letter so I guess this is what did me in.
Does anyone know how long you have to wait before a mortgage is no longer new? Six months, a year?
Here are the specifics for my TU credit report when I applied for the Hooter's card:
My TU score was about 608
Collections - only one - Portfolio (i hate these people) which will fall of in 12/08 (eight months!!!)
Inquiries - ten - 8 mortgage, 1 NCO, & 1 cap one
Credit Cards - Target since 07/07 - good standing, JCP since 05/04 - good standing, HSBC since 04/07 - good standing
Hope this helps someone either get the card or save an inquiry if you have a recent mortgage.
