Not sure but it can go either way i received the same message an was approved like 2 weeks later after they verified my info.

From understanding Hooters does not verify identity over the phone you will have to send in your info by fax or mail. If your approved they will most likely tell you over the phone.

Update: So after 10mins of the rep at Hooters not being able to find my application I found out I was approved for HOOT'S after all.

I didn't really need this card ,but  I am closing on my house in the next 6mths and I figured it was now or never since hooters doesn't like mortgages (still don't understand that one) The rep wouldn't tell me the CL or APR.

I'll post back when I find out, now it's mail bending time for me
