Re: Hooters - Wow you guys weren't lying

CSR didn't have info on the APR or AF.  But I was just amazed b/c I have a paid judgement from 06 and 2 CO's on report from 04.  Wow is all I have to say.  Merrick is generous.  My other cards (1 Orchard, 1 HSBC, 1 Cap1's) all started with a $300 limit.

Re: Hooters - Wow you guys weren't lying

Actually, I am combining the Orchard and HSBC.  That was the plan when I got the HSBC card.  No AF and 12.9%.  My Orchard now has a $850 limit, so I was going to combine that with the $300 HSBC for $1150.  Sounds better to me than paying the $59 fee for the Orchard.  Plus, HSBC has not treated me wrong.  Seems to me that they get a bad reputation.  I just talk nicely to the CSR's and I seem to get results.

Re: Hooters - Wow you guys weren't lying

I have only put in the request.  The CSR seemed pretty confident that it could be done.  I guess we'll see.  I have no balance on my Orchard, so I couldn't see them denying it b/c of the balance going to a lower-rate card.  What reason did they give you for denial of your request?

one had an af, one didn't, so these were unable to be combined. the other was the hsbc/orchard backed discover, was told that can't be combined w/either of the other two as well (something about diff type of product if i recall correctly).
