Re: Hooters - Wow you guys weren't lying

I Held my hooters last night when they ,ummm I mean it was taken out of the mail box. $5200 CL and no AF. 14.9 %APR I am thrilled!!! I'm going to put a few nic knacks on it to keep it active, but mainly its going to sit in the lock box for the inevitable "HOME OWNER EMERGENCY FUND" you know,, heater that goes out... plumbing that needs the plumber... The OH SH*% Factor. I agree, with the help of everyone on this site, I would have never had the knowledge to rebuild and get up in the credit card world ... THANKS ALL !!!

Holy Credit Limit Batman!

Wow! Those are wonderful cl's. Congrats you all.

After all the hoopla over them, and the Juniper fiasco back in Aug.& Sept. I thought it would be all over by now.

Good show you all. Smiley Happy

Re: Hooters - Wow you guys weren't lying

There was an apping frenzy back then regarding Juniper's Carnival Sea Lines Rewards card.

They were approving tons of people for 5,000, 10,000 up to 20,000 cli's.

Turned out to be a computer glitch. But the people still got those cards. It lasted for about 2 weeks.

Re: Hooters - Wow you guys weren't lying

WOW,,,
Well that ship has long since sailed !!!!!!
I app'd for Juniper and was told to pound salt.
Go figure.. 10K at home depot, 5K at Amex, 5K at Hooters
1K at circuit city.... all in the past 3 months
and Juniper's reply was for me to cool my jets...
sooo.. I'm good for now.. exactly what I'm gonna do...
Time for someone to admit me to the Sleigh Center!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm Done!!!! NO MORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6 months... maybe 9 ....
My next goal ... , and yes,, I'm probably showing my age..
Its time for the KISS Visa , 12% no AF

If you think the Hooters card will get a rise out of people...
Whip out the Gene Simmons Tongue a waggin... and get some kicks out of that !!!!
If I can get that one in the wallet , I should get some laughs !!!

Wouldn't it be great if the reply actually was "cool your jets"? My company would be that cool. The Cynical Household Bank.

Re: Hooters - Wow you guys weren't lying

Thats a classic phrase a friend of mine uses...

Cool your Jets...

or

E.Z. now Turbo...

Then again,, he is over the age of 50... so my response is
Be careful in the winter out on that ice, I don't want to see you break a hip ...

My response might not work too well with the Customer service...
but I would agree with you , seeing a automated reply after a credit app..
of COOL YOUR JETS TUFF GUY.... that would definitely make people think
twice about applying for too many cards in a short period of time....
They would kind of be like the Southwest Airlines of Credit ! LOL

Hey JFritz, how long did it take to receive the card after approval?  I can't wait to hold my Hooters in my hand.

Re: Hooters - Wow you guys weren't lying

My situation was odd, and not normal... It was almost a month,
but that was because I was in the process of moving, so I had
to do an address change, and they mailed a card out, and it got
lost, and or returned to sender,, blah,blah,blah...
If I would not have been in moving limbo, and having the thanksgiving holidayin the mix.... , It would have been 7 to 10 days...
