Household Bank Secured Card Question...

So, I applied for the Household Bank secured card.  They cashed the check for $250.00 on 10/13/09 to fund the deposit account and they have not pulled my EQ or EX credit reports yet.  Not sure if they just pulled TU.

Does it normally take them this long after they cash the check to open the security deposit account before they pull the CR?

My next question is this...if I included a neiman marcus cc and orchard bank cc in a ch 7 bk that was discharged in May, do you think they will deny me for the Household Bank secured card?  My thought is that since I am starting over, and its a secured card, maybe, just maybe they will approve it.

What do you think?

Here is a little about my currect CR situation

EQ is 568

TU not sure

EX 530

have two First Premier cc's never late, oldest is 6 months

Thanks!

Re: Household Bank Secured Card Question...

The check being cashed indicates they're probably setting up the account for you.

A secured card is your only option at this point and since this is your money, I would say you have a good chance of approval. If not, they're other banks you can turn to for a secured card.

Should you get an approval, be sure to make those payments in full and never, ever be late.

Good luck.
