Open, are you combining limits/closing cards/other?
I have six total, all listed in my signature. The PRG is probably going to be closed in October after the statement, but the rest of my cards are probably going to still be used.

Thanks Dub. I was going to ask the same thing as well.

I had gotten lots of personal cards purely for sign-up bonuses.
Basically, get new cards every couple of months, spend, earn bonus, and repeat. I wanted to hold them for at least 10 or 11 months before cancelling them before the annual fees are due. Over the next several months, I have 6 or 7 on the chopping block; mainly, Citi TY & AA cards, Flexperks, Barclay US Airs, NFL and Arrival cards.
For personal use, the only cards I need are SPG, Sapphire, JPM Ritz and BCP.
I currently have the 4 listed in my sig.
Petraeus- The PRG is an excellent card, but I just don't travel or use the card enough to make the annual fee worthwhile. And also, I got approved for a co-branded airline card, so it won't really have much of a purpose. The only card I want from Amex at this point is the BCE and maybe the SPG sometime in the future.

Good point. It is a hefty AF if the card cant pay itself back thru rewards. I spend about 30K a year on it and get the bonus 15K in points so it works for us as the points amount to a really good supplemental to my xmas budget.
I believe that I have 6 credit cards and 2 store cards that are active; I've closed a lot of old accounts over the years, partly due to the untimely death of my partner in 2001. My current goal is to get back to paying off the balance every month like I used to do.
