I have 5. I hope to close 1 or 2 of my sub prime cards and go for Chase Freedom and Discover It later this year.
Good riddance Credit One! If Orchard Bank will waive my AF, I'll keep them around a bit longer.
I have 2. Wells Fargo cash back w/ $900 limit and AMEX Blue Cash Everyday w/ $6,000 limit.
3, all obtained this month :-)
Discover It $4,000
VIsa from my CU $500
JC Penny $500

Many folks have several cards to get the maximum possible rewards on categories that they spend alot. Also, some cards need to be combined to get the most possible rewards. Folks like to have cards for balance transfers and sign up bonuses as well.
+1 on the sign up bonuses and balance transfers as the reason for the cards that I have. I have the 9 cards listed in my signature, plus a CU LOC, a corp Amex and 4 store cards (Macy's, JCP etc). I mainly use the card that gives the most cash back for what I purchase.
Hi guys, I have 5, couldn't be happier so far. I think I am good at this point for CC.
I received an offer for the Discover It card the other day, but I think I will pass on it, I like Chase Freedom a lot and it does not make any sense jumping ships.
32, but I manage them well and they all serve a purpose. (and this is considering that I just closed 5 this month)
I have 4
2 Amex (Gold, BCP)
Chase Freedom
BoFA Cash Rewards
I think these are more than enough!
until Nov 12 only 2 and now 6 but gardening for 1 more - CSP
Got 4 right now:
Chase Freedom - $1100
Discover More - $750
Amazon Store Card - $600
Amex Green - NPSL
Pretty abysmal credit lines. Gonna go for CLIs as soon as I hit the next 6-month mark for each of them.
