How can i build a history with amex

I know i cant qualify atm plus im gardening right now but how can i build a history with them, i love the backdating as it can alleviate some aaoa strains in the future. Will being an authorized user qualify me for backdating in the future?

Yes, if you are an AU on an account, they will backdate you in the future.

You may be able to qualify for AMEX Zync, it's their most basic charge card and the credit requirements are pretty low, people have been getting it with the mid to low 600s.

Wish i could app for the zync but waiting for baddies to fall off... Gardening for a year... And from what i hear from everyone.. Barclays(my new card) looks down on inquiries/new accounts after apping/receiving a new card. Im going to have my brother app for a zync and become an authorizd user... Thanks for that advise though

Keep in mind that Amex CAN decline to add you as an AU. My grandmother opened a Costco Amex card and tried to add my mom as an AU and they wouldn't do it because when they did a soft inquiry on her report they say a 9 year old BK that's due to fall off in a few months.
