How do I achieve this?

2012 was my year for American Express and starting good credit lines with them.  In 2013, I really want to improve my Visa/Mastercard lines.  Currently I have a Cap1 MC @ $750 (will be stuck there) and a Chase Amazon Rewards @ $800.  They're my lowest limits, by far!  The main reason I'm keeping the Cap1 open is because it has no foreign transaction fee, and I'll be doing some overseas travel in 2014.

One card I'm considering applying for this year is the Chase Priority Club Visa, as it has no FT fee, the annual fee is only $49, and Intercontinental has hotel locations in the countries I'd be traveling to.  The free night per year is nice too.  The thing is, it looks like it's only available in a Visa Signature, and none of my CLs are at $5000 yet.  I also live in MA, where Chase only pulls Experian, and my EX report has 6 inqs: 1 from 8/12, 3 from 10/12, 1 from 12/12, and 1 from this month.

I was originally thinking about asking for an increase on my Amazon card this summer, but now I'm wondering if I should hold off on that and apply for the new card with them instead.  I know a lot of people here say Chase has an internal CL for each customer.  I make $35k/year.  Do you think I'd be approved for a Signature in ~6mo or is that too lofty of a goal?

I had great success with the Capital One Executive department when it came to increasing my lines that had been stuck for years.  If your profile has changed since you originally got the card i would give that a try, the worst they can say is no.

Re: How do I achieve this?

I am also planning on apping for Chase Priority Club this year. When do you plan on applying? Since you are pretty close to $5000CL with your 2 $4000 lines, I wouldn't worry too much. Also, you can wait until your 61days with AMEX and request 3x CLI. This will put you over $5000.  I was able to get approved for  CSP WMC for $5000 but my highest line at the time was $4000 and it was an instant approval.

AMEX: $25,000, CSR: $10,000, Chase Priority Club: $1,500, Freedom: $5000, Freedom Unlimited: $1000, Discover: $21,000, BoA $11,000, WF Cash Wise: $5000

If I do apply, it would be in the summer.  I've already done the 61 day CLI with my Hilton card, so I'm not eligible for another increase until July 8th.

By then you should be able to request the 6 month CLI. But I think your current CL at $4000 should be fine for a $5000 CPC

So I'd have a decent shot at it once my inq's age 6 months?
