I explained that I just wanted one card instead of four and requested a substantial increase. She said to check back in three months. In the meantime I applied for another Cap 1 card and was approved. My question is can my initial card and the new card be consolidated? If so, how is it done? I haven't activated the new card yet. Also, if the cards are consolidated will it show on my credit report as a closed account and a new account. I've had Cap 1 for a year and don't want to start over if I don't have to. Any advise?
